The user interface for an observer in the C3Fire system is composed of three different areas of observation, Simulation Map, Players Map and Fire Chart. They contain information panels, a chart and the map. An observer has no possibilities to interact with the simulation or the session.
Figure 1. Three different areas of observation in C3Fire.
The simulation map gives the observer information about the simulation. The image below is one example on a simulation map user interface. The user interface and information given depends on configuration. Configuration is done in session configuration.
Figure 2. Example on a C3Fire simulation map user interface.
The players map gives the observer information about the players actions. The image below is one example on a players map user interface. The user interface and information given depends on configuration. Configuration is done in session configuration.
Figure 4. Example on a C3Fire fire chart user interface.
Vertical panel consist of four buttons. Button 'Top' alter top value for amount. Button 'Bottom' alter bottom value for amount. Button 'Amount marks' sets how often an amount mark should be done. In our example amount marks is set to five. Button 'Set lines' sets how often a line should be printed in the bars. In our example lines is set to one.
Horizontal panel consist of two buttons. Button 'Period' sets how often the events should be printed in seconds. In our example period is set to 30 seconds. Button 'Time marks' sets how often horizontal time marks should be printed. In our example time marks is set to five.
Displays session time.
Displays wind information.
Further information about wind is found at Weather.
Displays information about fire fighting units. What information to be given is configured in session configuration. By pushing mouse button on a fire fighting unit you alter the information in unit property panel, read more.
Displays information about a firefighting unit. What information to be given about the unit is configurated in session configuration. When pushing mouse button on a firefighting unit in unit info panel you change unit to expose information about, read more.
The map panel gives the observer visual information about the development of the simulation, see simulation.
All units are visible as is fire and geographical objects.
A list of players participating in the session that is observed.
By pushing left mouse button on a player you change to that players map view.
Pointer Position Panel
The pointer position panel simply gives the pointers x, y-position when the pointer is at the map panel.
The map objects and the images representing them.
The players units and the images representing them.
The fires different states and the images representing them.
